Thanks again for perusing my website.   I hope you know me better now than you did before coming here.  As a minister for the past 35 years,which includes being: a College Student at Louisiana College, a Hotel Manager at two Hiltons (Baton Rouge,and Ft. Worth) a High School Substitute Teacher, a Paperboy in Ft. Worth TX, (8 years) marriage to a wonderful wife and partner, (Baptist Mom) the birth of two amazing children, (Meg and Jack) a Family Pastor at First Baptist Church of Ashburn GA, (four years) a Consultant in Discipleship and Family ministry for the Georgia Baptist Convention (eight years) and currently as pastor of Hilton Terrace Baptist Church in Columbus, GA, I have had a lifelong romance with Jesus as well as a life of teaching and leading others as a leader in the areas of Pastoral Ministries, Family Evangelism, Family Missions, Church Visioneering and Leadership.  I have one nationally published book through Lifeway Publishing, "The Family's Heart" which, I am humbled to say, has touched over 12,600 families at the time of this writing.   I am an award winning Artist, Photographer, Cook and Paperboy.  (Hey don't laugh, being The Star-Telegram's paperboy of the year was the highpoint of 1993 for me!) While I have never won an award for preaching, I have had the honor of presenting the Gospel message thousands of times in over 15 countries and 33 states.  I have chaired or participated in many teams, committees, and think tanks; including the National Family Leadership Team for the Southern Baptist Convention through Lifeway, but nothing gives me more satisfaction than establishing true ministry relationships with those people God has put around me. 

I love and live for Jesus by loving and living for my family, friends, and the Acts 1:8 community!
